Railroad Spike Crosses

To the blacksmith, iron is a precious metal ~ none is wasted ~ not even old railroad spikes. Starting out as a rusty, discarded piece of metal, the shank is split along the two axes. After heating in the forge, the arms are unfolded to miraculously reveal this unique cross. The head is flattened allowing the cross to stand on it's own. Available in Hammered, Chiseled, or Smooth & Shiny and, of course, most railroad spikes are the standard size which create a cross about 4'' x 6''.
